How to Sell Properties even with a Full Time Job
Expenses continue to balloon, but is your regular salary getting any better? If not, then this is the perfect time to look for ways to earn more money. Some are opening up small businesses while others offer their professional services like graphic designing or teaching English. If you are running out of ideas or don’t know where to start, perhaps selling real estate properties will do you good.
Why real estate?
We will go straight to the point, ok? Real estate is one of the most lucrative industries, and we know many people who bettered their lives just by selling properties. At first, it can be overwhelming, and you think no one from your circle will purchase a condominium or house and lot. However, with the emergence of technology, closing a sale is now easier.
I have an 8 – 5 job; should I resign?
If you want to start a real estate business, you don’t have to leave your day job just yet. Some take risks, and that’s fine too. But if you are hesitant, then we will not force you to do so. We understand that your regular job is your steady income at the moment and that you receive several benefits from it. So let’s skip the ‘resignation’ for now. What we suggest is that you take a look at your routine and use the power of technology.
Take a look at your routine.
How do you use your idle time? Do you spend several minutes a day checking your social media account? What if you spend that same period posting real estate ads? What if you send a short message to your friends telling them that you are selling properties? What if you try to improve your selling skills by reading books or even different articles online?
The good thing about our technology nowadays is that you can connect to the world wide web practically anywhere. Even if you are stuck in traffic, you can post a couple of properties and answer inquiries. Instead of getting irritated with the long commute, use it for something productive.
How about your weekends? Do you usually slack and watch TV all day long? We are not saying that you should not rest. After all, you deserve it after a long week of regular work. But if you can allot an hour or two for client trippings and answering inquiries, imagine the money you’d get from each closed sale!
Using social media to sell
If you are to use your personal account, make sure NOT to flood your wall with advertisements. Chances are, your friends will unfollow you. Do it in moderation, say 2 or 3 times per day. We also recommend creating a Facebook page where you can do all your postings and eventually boost ads.
So what if a client wanted to see the project on a weekday?
This should not be a problem. There are marketing firms with a proven and tested ‘assisting strategy.’ This means that you can endorse your clients to the available salesperson and that both of you will get commission from the closed sale. Talk about TEAMWORK!
Learning the curves of real estate is pretty easy. With determination, you can master it in no time.
