NCR condo prices up 24% in Q3 2022
In a sign of improving economic conditions, condominium prices in Metro Manila surged in the third quarter of 2022 versus a year ago, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported Thursday (December 29).
The latest residential real estate price index of the central bank showed that condo units saw a 24% increase in value between July-September compared to the previous year, leading the growth in property prices in the National Capital Region. This is followed by a 17.9% increase in single detached and attached houses.
The increase in prices is modest for areas outside NCR at 5.6%, where duplexes turned out to be more popular with a 29.4% increase in prices.
On average, duplex prices rose by 26.7% nationwide, followed by a 19.2% increase in condo property values. Single detached or attached houses saw a 9.8% increase while townhouse prices dropped by 16.3%.
