Cavitex C5 link extension finally opens to the public
Motorists are expected to save travel time from SLEX to Merville, Paranaque with the opening of the newly-completed 1.6-kilometer Cavitex C5 link flyover extension.
Cavitex Infrastructure Corp. (CIC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., said the new tollroad is expected to provide 15,000 motorists “more convenient access to and from Taguig, Pasay and Paranaque, helping decongest local roads.”
Construction of CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 2 (CAVITEX to Sucat Interchange) is now more than 30 percent complete.
The CAVITEX C5 Link will span a total of 7.7 kilometers and connect to CAVITEX in 2023 which will help reduce travel time by 30 to 35 minutes for motorists traveling from CAVITEX to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay.
The inaugural ceremony of the Cavitex C5 Link extension was attended by Metro Pacific Investments Corp. chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, MPTC president and CEO Rodrigo Franco, MPT South president and general manager Raul Ignacio, and MPIC head of Government Relations and Public Affairs and MVP Group Media Bureau Mike Toledo.
