Pasig City opens another one-stop shop for business permits
Metro Manila (CNN Philipines, January 4) — Pasig City has opened its second business one-stop shop in its thriving commercial district to fast-track the application of permits and licenses in the middle of the pandemic, Mayor Vico Sotto said on Monday.
During the Laging Handa briefing, Sotto said Pasig's second Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) office at the Ayala Malls The 30th along Meralco Avenue, Barangay Ugong was opened Sunday in a bid to improve the ease of doing business and eliminate red tape in the city.
"Ilang buwan na namin itong pinagsisikapan na talagang ayusin, i-streamline ang mga proseso, bawasan ang red tape to increase the ease of doing business," he added.

Sotto said with the newly-opened BOSS office, applications traditionally processed in the city hall will significantly be reduced, paving the way for shorter registration of businesses.
"Kapag kumpleto naman ang dokumentong hawak mo o requirements, wala namang problema, lahat legal, dapat pagpunta mo one-stop shop talaga. Ibig sabihin, isang beses ka lang pupunta," he added.
[Translation: Once you bring complete documents or requirements, there are no problems, everything is legal, when you get there, it's really going to be a one-stop shop. This means you're supposed to go only once.]
Sotto said around 20 to 30% of the city's budget come from revenues from 9,575 businesses located in Barangays San Antonio and Ugong alone. The city has recorded more than 27,000 businesses in its 30 barangays.
