Thinking of living in QC? The vibrant city offers a multitude of choices and attractions for all ages that make for a meaningful and balanced lifestyle. By Dyan Zarzuela

If you’re looking for a home base that complements both your on- and off-duty lifestyle, living in QC is one of the best decisions you can make for your self-growth. With its foodie, artistic, educational, environmental, and wellness offerings, not to mention proximity to business centers, Quezon City, specifically Fairview, is the ideal place for you to achieve a work-life balance.

Currently accessible through Fairview-Alabang public buses and jeepneys that drop off passengers at various MRT and LRT stations, Fairview is set to become even more within reach as the MRT-7, which will connect to the MRT-3 in North Avenue, will be ready for operations by the fourth quarter of 2019. And at the heart of it all is Avida Towers Astrea, conveniently located along Quirino Highway, Fairview.

    Foodie central

Too many food places to try, too little time (and stomach space)—living in QC means having practically unlimited grub time options. From cozy mom and pop-type of restaurants to small neighborhood food stalls to sprawling food parks, there’s a variety of gastronomic spots to choose from, all within walking distance or a short drive away from Avida Towers Astrea. It is also located near well-stocked groceries and markets for when you have a hankering for a good ol’ fashioned home-cooked meal.

    Art and education

Living in QC also means having easy access to some of the best universities, museums, and art collectives in the country. You’ll find the Vargas Museum, which showcases works by local artists from the 19th century to the 1950s, in the University of the Philippines Diliman; the Ateneo Art Gallery, touted as the first museum of Philippine modern art, in Ateneo de Manila University along Katipunan Avenue; and both The Metropolitan Museum and The Money Museum in the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas complex along East Avenue.

Alternatively, there’s the 3D interactive museum Art in Island in Cubao, hip collective and food hub Cubao X, and crafter haven Common Room along Katipunan Avenue. Make sure to clear some space in your phone for these highly Instagrammable spots!

    Green spaces

One of the best things about living in QC is the abundance of green spaces that double as fitness areas and even historical attractions. Take Balara Filters Park, one of the oldest parks in the city that has seen its fair share of history (National Artist Atang de la Rama used to perform at the park’s Anonas Amphitheater) and now serves as an outdoor recreational center. With its renovated swimming pools, a children’s park, and a picnic grove, it’s an ideal place to relax and unwind, go for a leisurely walk, or work out with a view.

Other green spaces-slash-cultural attractions-slash-fitness-friendly centers to visit include the La Mesa Eco Park in Novaliches, the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Diliman, and the Quezon Memorial Circle in Diliman, all of which are a short drive away from residential condo Avida Towers Astrea in Fairview.

Quezon City is a complex, multi-dimensional, ever-changing city that offers something different at every turn. While it is one of the country’s busiest and widely accessible hubs, what sets it apart from other developed cities is its quaint residential vibe maintained through a well-curated mix of office spaces, industrial properties, recreational outdoor areas, artistic hubs, gastronomic centers, and ideal residential developments such as Avida Towers Astrea.

Living in Avida Towers Astrea means being right in the middle of this vibrant city and having easy access to both your workplace and all that QC has to offer. Want more reasons to live in QC? Read up on the four advantages of living in northern QC.
