5 Gov’t. Hospitals to receive various equipment from DOH-CHD 1

Five government hospitals are slated to receive various equipment from the Department of Health (DOH)-Center for Health Development (CHD) 1.

In an online session on April 25, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) approved a resolution which authorized Governor Amado I. Espino III to enter into and sign deeds of donation from the DOH-CHD 1.

“The Department of Health (DOH) is the principal agency of the government which consistently contributes to the upgrading of medical and health care facilities and has manifested its desire to further augment its support to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan’s health care program through the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP),” the resolution which was authored by SP Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario, stated.

Hence, recipients of the equipment are as follows: Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital, Western Pangasinan District and Bayambang District Hospital, 1 unit table top sterilizer each; Mangatarem District Hopsital 1 unit generator set; and Manaoag Community Hospital, 10 units mechanical bed with mattresses’ 2 units minor instrument set, 1 unit laryngoscope set, and 1 unit emergency cart.

As stated in the resolution, the equipment can be used primarily and effectively by the province to cater and respond immediately to the health necessities of the people especially in times of calamities and emergencies.

HFEP serves as the national government’s vehicle by which public health care facilities receive assistance for infrastructure improvement and equipment upgrade.
