Living in the city can be exciting and fun. The fast-paced urban lifestyle that's constantly moving at break-neck speeds with new hangout spots, restaurants, and events popping out at every corner can be thrilling for some but overwhelming for others. For most people, this kind of lifestyle can get tiring and taxing really quickly. For this reason, more and more people are moving out of Metro Manila and are looking to invest in a pre-selling house in Cavite.

Cavite, known as the Historical Capital of the Philippines, is also one of the fastest-growing provinces in the country, with its economy being driven by agriculture, industrial zones, economic parks, and residential properties. Cavite's unique set-up creates a great mix of leisure, career, and residency, making it a popular location for potential home and business owners.

Now, you get to have the best of both worlds and live the slow-paced provincial life with prosperous career advancement within your reach thanks to Cavite's fast-growing economic development.

Here are ten more reasons why you should move to Cavite!

    1. Deep History and Culture

Cavite is home to many of the historical sites and landmarks of the Philippines and the birthplace of many of our heroes. It is where many of the events of the Philippine Revolution took place, including the residence of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, the president of the first republic of the Philippines, and the location of the proclamation of the Philippines' independence from Spain on June 12, 1898.

You won't ever run out of museums to visits or historical landmarks to marvel at. Some places you should definitely go to include the Aguinaldo Shrine, Corregidor Island, Sangley Point, and Bonifacio Memorial Shrine.

    2. Delicious Food Hubs

Cavite is just a stone's throw away from some of the best food in the Philippines, such as Tagaytay's ever-popular bulalo and buko pie. Make sure you check out some of Tagaytay's most popular haunts, including Breakfast at Antonio's, Sonya's Garden, Leslie's, Lolo Claro's Restaurant, Bag of Beans, Balay Dako, and Cafe Voi La.

    3. Shopping and Entertainment Centers

Are you a huge shopaholic? We've got good news for you. There are over 50 malls in the province of Cavite alone, meaning you can visit a new mall every weekend of the year without having to leave the province! Major shopping mall chains include SM Supermalls, Robinsons Mall, and Ayala Malls. You can find virtually anything you need without needing to drive through traffic.

    4. Prosperous Economic Zone

First, commercial and industrial hubs started popping up in Pasay, BGC, and Muntinlupa. These days, the trend is to build economic zones and industrial parks further south from Metro Manila. Companies and investors have long been eyeing CALABARZON, particularly Cavite. They have been putting up their businesses in Cavite due to the low labor cost and workforce supply. As of writing, there are now at least twelve industrial parks in Cavite, most consisting of manufacturing companies.

There is no shortage of jobs available in Cavite. In fact, your career is sure to thrive and advance thanks to all the opportunities available!

    5. Less Traffic

It's no secret that traffic has become such a nightmare within Metro Manila. The good thing about Cavite is that it is far less congested than Metro Manila while remaining within proximity to it. This makes it a prime residential location for those still employed in Makati, Pasay, Muntinlupa, or Las Pinas.

Because of the new major road developments, you have several ways to get to Cavite, such as the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), SLEX-Daang Hari Road, Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX), and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX). Travel time has been reduced so drastically that a typically Makati to Cavite drive can be as quick as 30-45 minutes.

Looking for other modes of transportation? Why not try the recently launched water jeepneys! The Cavite-Manila Ferry Service can cut travel time even further to an awe-inspiring 15-20 minute ferry ride. Commuters can choose between either the MV Island Sabtang or the MB Seaborne Mercury, which will cross Manila Bay from the Cavity City Port Terminal to either the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) or by Pasig River near Liwasang Bonifacio (formerly known as Lawton).

    6. Fewer People

Manila is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. In 2010, it had a density of 19,000 people per square kilometer. On the other hand, Cavite is far less densely populated, with only 1,950 people per square kilometer. This means you'll have more space to enjoy and facilities (such as shopping centers) will be far less crowded, even on the weekends!

    7. Fresher Air

Because of Metro Manila's high population and urbanization level, its air quality has tremendously declined throughout the years. Vehicles have greatly contributed to air pollution, as well as the number of factories in the Metro.

Because Cavite is not as crowded and congested as Metro Manila, its air is considerably fresher and cleaner than Manila's. Many real estate developers have made it their thrust to preserve Cavite's natural landscape by planting more trees and vowing to keep the province pedestrian-friendly.

    8. Spontaneous Getaways

When living in Cavite, you're sure always to have exciting weekends. A quick drive to popular summer getaways such as Batangas, Tagaytay, and Laguna, you're never going to run out of weekend destinations. Whether your feel like climbing mountains, jumping into lakes, swimming with the fishes, or working on your tan, there's always bound to be something new to do. Our favorite activities include hiking Mt. Pico de Loro, renting a villa and enjoying the hot springs in Pansol, Laguna, diving in Sombrero Island in Tingloy, enjoying a romantic dinner overlooking Taal Volcano, and relaxing on the beach in Punta Fuego!

    9. Access to Better Education

Did you know that Cavite has a 96.52% literacy rate? This can be attributed to the 1,760 schools in the province, including some of the country's most prestigious colleges and universities, including De La Salle University Dasmarinas, Far Eastern University Silang, and Recoletos de Cavite.

    10. Close-knit Community

Arguably one of the best things about living in Cavite is how close everyone is to one another. Living in Cavite is like living with one large family, where your neighbors act more like extended members of your family. People care about everybody else in the community, making it a safe environment to reside in for both you and any children you may have.
