The price for the 17,123 sqm is Php1,500,000.00 /sqm A parcel of land situated in Fort Bonifacio, City of Taguig, Metro Manila. On January 28, 2005, Memorandum Order No. 159 of the Malacañang Palace, Republic of the Philippines, by the virtue of Memorandum Order No. 448 dated 09 October 1997, a Negotiating Panel was created to settle the ownership issue on the ten hectare US diplomatic and consular area in Fort Bonifacio and the establishment of lease arrangements over the same property for US diplomatic and consular housing. On February 10, 2009, Her Excellency, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, duly signed and approved Proclamation No. 1725 series of 2009 ••••••••••• declaring certain parcels of land as alienable and disposable identified as the Diplomatic and Consular Area situated in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Metro Manila, island of Luzon and transferring to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) the administration thereof. The area covered by the said proclamation shall be under the administrative jurisdiction, supervision and control of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), which shall be responsible in maintaining the usefulness of the area. The development of the subject property through BCDA should be in accordance with the Terms of Reference to be formulated by the GRP Negotiating Panel pursuant to Memorandum Order Nos. 159 and 167 s.2005. On a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange dated 7 September 2010, Filinvest Land, Inc. stated that Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI), in consortium with Filinvest Alabang, Inc. (FAI), submitted to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority an unsolicited proposal on 6 September 2010 to develop the Diplomatic and Consular Area in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The FLI-FAI consortium proposes to put up a mixed-use type of development on the property. As with other unsolicited proposals for the development of a BCDA-controlled property (or other government owned or controlled property for that matter), the lot may be opened for a "Swiss Challenge" wherein other developers may submit their own bid to match or exceed the proposal of the original proponent, wherein the original proponent is given a right to submit a counter-proposal to match or better the best bid which comes out of the Swiss Challenge process.
