POGO 'EXODUS' | Possible High Vacancy for Office & Condo Leasing
Pogo exodus seen to empty more than a tenth of Metro Manila offices, condo units

But for Dominguez, “the issue is not so much on Pogo revenues but more on the impact to real estate values and businesses.”

Any thoughts if it would be better to look for office and condo unit owners selling below market value and that leasing in middle end condos may still thrive due to downsizing of those in the higher end?

There is still a possibility that the increase in the BPO sector due to the global pandemic can help soften the effect of losing the POGOs. But nevertheless, the POGOS inflated the market value of the real estate in those areas. So the question is what “market value” are we looking at
I don’t think condo owners will rush to sell their properties when Chinese POGO’s eventually leave. From what I gathered, India is also considering to operate POGO’s in the Philippines. If this scenario will happen, this may even out everything.
