Libreng Sakay continue in Pasig City during ECQ

PASIG CITY, March 29 (PIA) -- Pasig City’s ‘Libreng Sakay’ will continue during the weeklong enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila.
According to Pasig Transport’s Facebook page, travel will be limited to Authorized Person Outside of Residence (APOR) and for essential trips.
Public transportation will remain operational. This includes the city government’s libreng sakay, tricycles, and LTFRB-authorized buses, public utility jeepneys or PUJs, UV Express, and Motorcycle Taxis.
The Libreng Sakay will operate from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Operations of motorcycle taxis and back riding are allowed per guidelines of the National Task Force Against COVID-19.
Likewise, bicycle shops in the city will be allowed to operate pursuant to Executive Order PCG 18 s.2020 and Sangguniang Panlungsod Resolution No. 59 s.2020, declaring biking as an essential form of transportation
“Transportation workers, including drivers and operators of tricycles, and operators of company shuttle services, and drivers and operators of PUVs...shall be considered APOR and exempt from restrictions,” pursuant to Sangguniang Panlungsod Ordinance No. 34 s.2020. (PIA NCR)
