From Bounce Back Real Estate PH: What Makes Living in a House Nice?
ECQ has shown us many pros and cons of living in different types of properties - houses, condos, townhomes, etc.
While there are advantages to all types of properties, (and we can discuss them one by one in succeeding posts), today we explore the advantages of a single detached home over other property types.
You may share these tips to your buyers, so you can help them decide what works best for them too. 😊 we’re sharing this article to help our fellow real estate practitioners learn more about this topic while we’re all here together in this lockdown.
Today we’re going to talk about why a house is sometimes more attractive than buying any other type of property.
First reason is front appeal - with a house you have the opportunity to actually design it the way you’ve always dreamed of how it should look like. Having a font facade can actually be one of the reasons why you would want to choose a house over any other type of property. The second reason why a house is an interesting choice for some buyers is the fact that you can actually build a garden. It provides several functions both for design purposes and also for social purposes because if you have a garden and patio facing a nice garden, and it’s well kept and it looks good, you could actually host some parties.
Third are pools. While not all houses have pools, but those that do also serve three functions. (1) It looks pretty nice. When you look at the house it really accentuates the home very well. (2) It provides an avenue where you can have social interactions with the kids or probably the family. (3) It also provides a nice area where you could actually have some good exercise without really hitting your knees hard like if you were doing some other forms of exercise.
The fourth reason why most people prefer a house over a condo or any other type of property is space.
Space is just such a good portion of the house. With a house you can actually have double ceiling height living areas, huge formal dining rooms, you can have a garden, you can have a pool, you can have a front lawn. There’s just so much space you can play around with. Now the space comes at several different areas that you might actually find attractive.
Next is parking. Parking slots in a condominium could be limited. In a house, you can actually have more. You can actually have 10, 8 or probably 15, depending on how much you need. If it were a condo, you’d probably have to buy for another 6 figure or 7 figure price tag. With a house you don’t have to do that.
Another advantage are finishes.
You can choose the finishes that you like, versus a condominium wherein they usually provide the finishes for you and then that’s it, and then if you don’t like it you have to buy it and then take them out. If it were a house you can choose the finishes right from the get go.
So what did we learn today? We learned today that there are some advantages that a house can offer that any other property type can’t get. And we do hope this topic was able to give you more value as far as choosing the best property for you is concerned.
