Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) led by bilyonaryo Frederick Go is consolidating its industrial properties to bulk up its logistics business.
In a November 10 meeting, the RLC board authorized its president and CEO Go to negotiate the terms and conditions of the sale of its assets to Robinsons Logistix and Industrials (RLX) next year.
The Calamba, properties to be housed under RLX are in Sucat, Paranaque; Calamba, Laguna; San Fernando and Mexico, Pampanga.
The move will give RLC maximum flexibility in expanding its logistics and industrial business
Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, demand for logistics facilities has been on the rise in the country and this demand further increased during the pandemic. Under its RLX Logistics Facilities brand, the
RLX is planning to develop logistics facilities in industrial hubs in the country to serve the rising demand for warehousing which has boomed since the pandemic.
