3 reasons Mikael Daez and Megan Young are excited to move to Subic, Zambales

A lot of people were inspired when Megan Young and Mikael Daez announced their plan to move to Subic, Zambales.Yes, the province located along the western shores of Luzon is known for its pristine beaches, islands and other dreamy tourist attractions. City-dwellers also come far and wide to relax and enjoy the fresh air and natural scenery.
But these are not the main reasons why the celebrity couple are excited to move there. During the virtual press conference after he renewed his contract with GMA Network, Mikael shared some of these reasons in a recent online interview.
1. No traffic. "The quality of life there is very, very different," Mikael told GMA News Online.
For one thing, Mikael is just happy to enjoy a larger part of their day without having to worry about getting stuck in traffic.
"Sa totoo lang, spending two hours of your day — literally almost 10% of your life — in traffic 'di ba? Sayang naman. You can do so much with that."
2. Variety. Mikael said he and wife Megan Young have been living in Metro Manila for the longest time. Moving to the province would be a nice change, he said."Variety is the spice of life," Mikael said.
"And we lived in Metro Manila most of our lives. To try it out in the province would definitely have its pros and cons, but just the newness of it — 'yung pagiging kakaiba niya — I think will be such a a good memory and moment and experience for us."
3. No rush. Mikael however clarified that they have not officially said goodbye to Metro Manila just yet.
"Just an update: We haven't moved to Zambales yet," the actor said.
"So what happened there, may lugar na kami don sa Subic, pero very spontaneous kami ng asawa ko, and we realized that a lot of the work still requires us to be based here in Metro Manila," he added.
“Ang nangyayari diyan, 'Okay, decide tayo, because of work, we have to be grateful for the opportunities that come our way, let's stay here in Metro Manila and when we have time, maybe for a day over the weekend we go to Subic if quarantine allows for it."
The "long-term goal," however, remains the same for Megan and Mikael.
"When timing allows for it, lilipat talaga kami. Like, in a heartbeat," the actor said. — LA, GMA News
